Accessibility

How WHOLE is built to be usable by everyone.

Version 1.0 Updated July 8, 2026

Designing WHOLE so that more people can benefit from better health.

At WHOLE, we believe health information should be understandable, inclusive and accessible to everyone.

Accessibility is not an additional feature—it is a fundamental part of how we design our platform.

Every person deserves the opportunity to improve their health regardless of age, ability, language, literacy, technology or life circumstances.

As WHOLE continues to grow, accessibility will remain one of our core design principles.

Our commitment

We are committed to creating a platform that is as inclusive and usable as reasonably possible for people with different abilities and needs.

This includes designing experiences that are clear, intuitive and supportive for a diverse community of users.

Accessibility is considered throughout the planning, design and development of WHOLE rather than being added afterwards.

Inclusive design

WHOLE aims to provide an experience that is:

  • Simple to navigate
  • Easy to read
  • Consistent throughout the platform
  • Clear and understandable
  • Mobile-friendly
  • Suitable for users with different levels of digital experience

Good design should reduce barriers rather than create them.

Readability

Health information can sometimes feel overwhelming.

WHOLE aims to communicate using plain language wherever possible while maintaining scientific accuracy.

Our goal is to help users understand complex health concepts without unnecessary jargon.

Where technical language is required, we aim to explain it clearly.

Visual accessibility

We strive to design interfaces that support a wide range of users by considering:

  • Clear typography
  • Readable font sizes
  • Consistent layouts
  • Appropriate spacing
  • Colour contrast
  • Meaningful icons
  • Simple navigation

These design choices improve usability for everyone, not only individuals with disabilities.

Mobile-first experience

Many of our members access WHOLE using mobile devices.

For this reason, WHOLE is designed with a mobile-first approach to ensure that essential health information and tools remain accessible across different screen sizes and devices.

We continually refine the user experience to improve comfort, readability and ease of navigation.

Supporting different learning styles

People learn in different ways.

WHOLE aims to provide information through a variety of formats, including:

  • Written content
  • Visual illustrations
  • Interactive tools
  • Progress tracking
  • Guided experiences
  • Artificial intelligence support through Eira

Providing multiple ways to engage with health information helps make learning more accessible.

Continuous improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing journey.

As technology evolves and user needs change, WHOLE will continue improving the accessibility of our platform.

Feedback from members plays an important role in helping us identify opportunities to remove barriers and improve usability.

Reporting accessibility concerns

If you experience difficulty accessing any part of WHOLE, we encourage you to let us know.

Your feedback helps us improve the platform for everyone.

Accessibility concerns, suggestions or recommendations may be submitted through our Support Centre or by emailing:

Our promise

WHOLE exists to make healthier living more accessible—not more complicated.

We believe good health information should be available to everyone, presented with dignity and designed with care.

As our platform grows, we remain committed to building technology that is inclusive, compassionate and welcoming to every member of our community.

Because better health should never be limited by accessibility.
